A surprise celebration was held last week in honor of Duit Holding’s 50th anniversary.
Highlighting the event, Jim’s daughter Kimberly and son Tim shared poignant speeches about Jim and his endeavors. Many other people were also recognized for their commitment and accomplishments in their dedication and service over the past five decades. Other highlights included the presentation of a bronze bust of Jim created by renowned artist Paul Moore of Oklahoma City. He was also presented with a special keepsake, a framed flag emblazoned with the company logo and a special 50-year emblem.
On Monday of this week, Jim opened the regularly scheduled staff meeting by saying, “I was so overwhelmed with all the people there in my honor.” He attributes his years of success to all the people who have worked with him. He also joked that he was a little worried that so many people close to him could keep a secret that long.
Duit Holdings started with Duit Construction Company, Inc., which was founded in Iowa Falls, IA, in 1969. The company relocated to Edmond, OK, in 1981.
