ACPA and PCA have completed and signed a memorandum of understanding that solidifies the two associations’ agreement to implement and execute a long-term paving promotion plan. The agreement defines roles and responsibility, financial terms, communications and reporting and other details that support a stronger national and local promotion program.
“We are grateful to the leadership of PCA and ACPA for their support of this comprehensive plan, which will increase the use of concrete pavement and cement-based paving solutions in highways, airports, streets/roads and commercial/industrial facilities,” says Jerry Voigt, ACPA President and CEO.
“With the support of PCA and ACPA’s volunteer leaders, we have already made significant progress in laying the groundwork and taking the first steps toward what we are confident will be a successful, effective plan to increase the awareness and usage of concrete pavement and cement-based paving solutions,” says ACPA Chairman Jim Mack (CEMEX). “The ultimate beneficiaries will be our customers at the DOT’s and other agencies and owners, and of course, the traveling public.”
