Professional Development Hours
You may be eligible for a certificate that may be used for company credit and/or up to 2.0 Professional Development Hours (PDHs).  Successful completion of an “evidence of learning exam,” along with participation in the web-based training, is a prerequisite for the award of a certificate that may be used for company credit and/or 2.0 professional development hours (PDH) used toward professional licensure.  

The PDH credits associated with this exam and the course noted above are designed for participants whose states/provinces allow self-reporting.  A passing score (70% or better) is required for the award of the certificate/2.0 professional development hours (PDH’s) by ACPA and the ICPI.   Please be sure to complete the exam by close-of-business on October 30. Certificates of completion / PDH’s will be sent by email the following week.   (Please see the online exam link and related information below.)

ACPA National, Chapters to Meet with FHWA Officials

Joining forces next week, ACPA national staff and several affiliated Chapter/State executives will be meeting with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) officials in Washington, D.C., for an update on the agency’s concrete pavement program and discussions on technology implementation needs and other pertinent topics.  

Scheduled for October 8, the meeting will involve Butch Waidelich, Associate Administrator; Lubin Quinones, Acting Director; Suneel Vanikar, Team Leader; and Gina Ahlstrom, Concrete Pavement Engineer.

Key discussion topics include:

 

  • Competition (and FHWA’s role in encouraging competition).
  • Uniformity of interpretation of FHWA ADAB Technical Advisory.
  • Concrete overlays.
  • Centerline rumble strips. 
  • Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) guidance.
  • Recycling of concrete pavements.
