There’s still time to register for an informative webinar covering the fundamentals of Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA), which is scheduled for Thursday, August 22 from Noon to 1:30 (CDT) | 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. (EDT).
LCA is a technique to assess environmental impacts associated with all the stages of a product’s life. In the context of a concrete pavement’s life, this involves deriving the raw materials, processing/manufacturing, placement, use, repair and maintenance, and disposal or recycling/reuse.
Co-sponsored by the International Society for Concrete Pavements (ISCP) and ACPA, the program will be presented in two parts. The “Basics of LCA for concrete pavements,” will be presented by Eric Ferrebee, P.E., Technical Services Engineer, ACPA. “Concrete pavement LCA examples,” will be presented by Tim Smith, P.Eng., Senior Director, Built Environment, Transportation and Public Works for Cement Association of Canada & Director-ISCP.
ACPA members are eligible for individual and group registration discounts. The webinar is free of charge to government employees. For additional information, please follow this link: http://www.acpa.org/upcoming-webinars-meganars-and-workshops/.
