ACPA co-sponsored and participated in the cement and concrete industry’s Promoters’ Forum* last week. The two-day event focused on promotion opportunities and results and featured presentations by and discussions among promoters representing national and local promotion groups, as well as member companies.
The first day of the event focused on new opportunities, with emphasis on geotechnical markets and cement-based solutions, resilience, sustainability, and competitive threats and opportunities.
The second day focused on evolving trends and influences on the cement and concrete industry, and included an economic outlook by Ed Sullivan of PCA, climate change and other sustainability issues, resilience, marketing to millennials, and more. Scott Mueller of ACPA led the promotion breakout session, one of two sessions that also included discussions of buildings-related topics.
Mueller provided an overview of ACPA’s marketing and promotion initiatives, including plans, development of tools, and strategies for communicating with multi-generational audiences. The session also included an overview of promotion resources by Greg Halsted of PCA and Brian Killingsworth of NRMCA, as well as an overview of CS Hub resources from Jeremy Gregory and CP Tech Center resources by Gordon Smith.
