A “Dear Colleague” letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) the latest effort by elected officials to inform and persuade Congressional leadership about the critical need for emergency relief for state DOTs.

Authored by Representatives Bob Gibbs (R-OH) and Conor Lamb (D-PA), the letter was co-signed by more than 130 bipartisan members of the House in support of the inclusion of almost $50 billion in emergency relief for State DOTs in the next package of economic relief legislation.

ACPA and a large number of other transportation and construction organizations lobbied in support of this funding measure. This aid is expected to help critical roadway infrastructure projects move forward and prevent further delays and cancellations of important construction and maintenance.
