This is a quick guide to the social media links you will find on ACPA’s website, as well as a few benefits to you for viewing and sharing in social media discussions.  

If you’ve browsed our site, one of the first things you’ll notice is a series of icons, which are highlighted in the photo at left.   These are icons that will link you directly to ACPA’s Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube pages or channels.

By clicking on the links, you will be able to see some of ACPA’s latest posts on these popular social media channels, and of course, you can join in the dialogue to offer comments or forward posts that you see in our pages/channels.   Anyone can view the posts, but if you’re going to join the discussion, you’ll need to establish an account with any or all of those sites.

Benefits to ACPA Members and Affiliates

We strongly encourage ACPA members and affiliates–as well as other supporters of high-quality highways, roadways, airports, and industrial pavements–to visit our website and these social media channels often.

For anyone not familiar with these social media and microblogging sites, here are just a few general features & benefits:

  • Access is  free and fast.  At no cost* and in an instant, you can check in to see what’s happening in your industry, your association, and the community of people who share the same common interests as you.
  • It’s a great way to stay connected in the digital age.  These sites allow you to network and connect with customers, friends, colleagues, and others in your professional and social circles.
  • Stay current with news and other developments.  In this age of instant news, social media allows you to stay current on the latest news, special events, activities, and more.

There are many other benefits to using social media, which is increasingly becoming the primary way busy people stay connected.   For members and other visitors to our website, there are some added benefits.

As illustrated in the photo (left), each major posting to ACPA’s website has social media icons for Facebook, Twitter, and Linked-In, as well as an icon (+) that will allow you to access  these and other popular sites such as Google+, Reddit, Tumblr, etc.   If you have an account on one or more of these sites, you can “share” this specific post with other people that are linked to your site.

This is a great way to let your colleagues, friends, and other people you’re connected with know about ACPA events, programs, and other activities.   It’s also a great way for you to provide feedback to us–feedback that helps us refine and otherwise improve our services to members and your agency/owner customers, too.
