The sixth in a series of six SPS-2 Preservation Tech Day Events is approaching quickly. If you’re interested in reserving a spot at one or both events planned for Oct. 16 and 17 in Bismarck and Fargo, ND, please finalize your plans as soon as possible. To register for the event, please contact Art Thompson (Art.NDConcrete@gmail.com | 701.371.4497).
North Dakota Concrete Council Executive Director Art Thompson has been working closely with Larry Scofield to set up the two-day event. Participants will gain valuable insights into long-lasting pavements and will have the opportunity to see a presentation on the SPS-2 test sections and their performance to date; an update on current concrete preservation strategies; and a discussion of the national pooled fund experiment to “piggy back” onto the existing SPS-2 experiment. Afterward, participants will have the opportunity to visit test sections.
The original SPS-2 experiment was established to evaluate five design features: thickness, flexural strength, travel lane width, base type, and drainage. Click here to see details and registration information for the North Dakota events, as well as information from events held earlier this year.
