ACPA’ has published a “Perspectives” document stating the Association’s support for and encouragement for the acceptance and use of portland-limestone cement (PLC) or Type IL cement.

ACPA supports and encourages state DOTs and other agencies to allow its use as an option to help further improve concrete’s sustainable attributes.

PLC is an innovative cement that contains between 5% and 15% finely ground limestone, which can help reduce the carbon footprint of cement production by about 10% relative to ordinary portland cement (OPC).

ACPA Perspectives documents detail the Association’s formal positions and policies on timely issues of importance to the concrete pavement industry and the transportation-construction community. This is the 2nd new addition to the library this year.
