ACPA was involved in the American Highway Users Group’s recent Policy & Government Affairs Committee meeting.

Committee members met to discuss priorities in the context of the ongoing infrastructure debate, including the administration’s broad framework. One discussion topic was the development of another, “Road to Highway Authorization,” document similar to one published prior to MAP-21 passage. It highlighted highway users’ core priorities and recommendations to Congress.  Robust and sustainable highway funding moving forward are key to the AHUA platform as is the user-pay (motor-fuels tax or vehicle miles traveled tax) philosophy, according to Leif Wathne, who participated in the meeting.
