Mid-Atlantic Chapter Offers Training & Tech Transfer
In this week’s continuing coverage of “Gold Standard” Chapter events, we’re pleased to highlight two of the tech transfer events in which the Mid-Atlantic Chapter has been involved recently. Chapter President Ray Seipp covers a multi-state region and has been working proactively to provide training and tech transfer opportunities to customers.
In late March, Ray participated in the Southeast Pavement Preservation Workshop in Charleston, WV. The event drew an estimated 150 people reepresenting industry, agencies, and academia. The workshop focused on preservation’s role in sustainability and included two days of updates, sustainability-focused presentations, roundtable discussions, and other meetings.
The prior week, Ray joined with Gordon Smith and Jerod Gross of the CP Tech Center to present back-to-back workshops to key employees of the West Virginia DOT’s Division of Highways employees in Princeton, WV. More than 50 employees attended the Concrete Overlay Workshop on March 20 and the Inspector’s Workshop on March 21.
