Greetings ACPA Members,

As you probably know, this week the U.S. Senate gave its approval to the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).  This landmark, bipartisan legislation, which captured support from 19 Republican Senators, is a big win for the concrete paving industry. In addition to $550 billion in new infrastructure spending, the bill secures the ACPA-conceived AID-PT funding for concrete technology deployment research as well as grant and funding opportunities for resiliency efforts. More information about the IIJA can be found in the newsletter below.  There was a time not so long ago when infrastructure bills were considered the one thing lawmakers from both sides of the aisle could agree on. While this bill has a long way to go before it becomes law, I am encouraged with the bipartisan recognition of the need to reinvest in and rebuild America’s infrastructure! Thanks to those of you who shared your support for the legislation with your elected representatives.  As the bill moves back to the House, we will once again need your voices to be heard.
