Strong Participation and Attendance at the Virtual 12th ICCP 2021!
The International Society for Concrete Pavements (ISCP) held its long-awaited 12th International Conference on Concrete Pavements (12th ICCP 2021) the week of September 27 through October 1 in a virtual setting. ACPA was a proud sponsor of the 12th ICCP, along with ACPA members Lehigh Hanson and CEMEX.
As with past conferences, ISCP bestowed several best paper awards, including the “American Concrete Pavement Association’s Robert G. Packard Award for Design or Design Innovations for Concrete Pavement”, won by Christian and Orlando Rojas Torrico (Bolivia) for their paper “Determining the Influence of Concrete Drying Shrinkage in the International Roughness Index of Newly Constructed Rigid Pavements in Bolivian Altiplano“. The conference featured 96 technical presentations, 10 half-day workshops, and The Student Pitch on a variety of concrete pavement topics. The conference was hosted using “The Aggregate” virtual platform allowing for both networking opportunities and tech transfer capabilities for attendees. In addition, the online format of the conference allowed participation from a record number of attendees across the globe with 698 registrants representing 31 countries.
ACPA enjoyed strong representation at this conference, including podium presentations by Leif Wathne, Eric Ferrebee, Larry Scofield, and Dr. Mark Snyder, as well session moderating by Greg Dean, Todd LaTorella, Angela Folkestad, and John Becker. The CP Tech Center was also well represented with presentations from Dr. Peter Taylor, Gordon Smith, and Dan King.

ISCP will be hosting the 13th International Conference on Concrete Pavements (13th ICCP 2024), August 24-29, 2024 at The Depot in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. More information and a “13th ICCP 2024 Call for Abstracts/Papers” will be available in 2022!
