ACPA Southwest Chapter Hosting Workshop on PLC in California Paving Projects
Join ACPA Chapter affiliate Southwest Concrete Pavement Association (SWCPA) on October 13 for a workshop on paving with portland-limestone cement. The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) approved the use of portland-limestone cement (PLC) in January of this year. The first concrete paving project to use a PLC is the Highway 101 Santa Barbara to Mussel Shoals Project. The webinar will be at 9 am PDT / noon EDT and will detail the sustainable aspects of PLC, as well as how it’s performing in its first California concrete pavement project. Panelists include Tom Van Dam of ACPA member company NCE, Nathan Forrest of ACPA partner California Nevada Cement Association, and John Hamilton of Granite Construction. Register here.
