The IGGA, an affiliate of the ACPA that represents the Concrete Pavement Restoration Division, joined ACPA in hosting an annual meeting at the Omni Nashville hotel in Nashville, Tenn. during the week of November 28, 2022. The common venue allowed the associations to capture synergies including some shared speakers and presentations, as well as a luncheon panel that featured ACPA Chapter/State Executives.

In addition to its annual membership meeting, the IGGA meeting featured education sessions that covered the effects of diamond grinding on airfield pavements, the opening of a certification test track in the state of Illinois, and various concrete pavement preservation projects and research. Laura O’Neill Kaumo spoke to the IGGA audience, providing a breakdown of the recently enacted infrastructure funding bill and offering insight related to its impacts on the pavement preservation industry.
