OK/AR Chapter’s Brent Burwell Featured in Dowel Bar Anniversary
As part of the International Grooving and Grinding Association’s celebration of the 40th anniversary of dowel bar retrofit—which is used as a concrete pavement preservation treatment—the association sat down with our own Brent Burwell, the Executive Director for the Oklahoma/Arkansas Chapter of ACPA. Brent has served as director of that organization for twenty years and has experience as chief estimator for a heavy highway construction firm, as well as serving as Assistant Division Engineer for Maintenance at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation for 13 years. The state of Oklahoma has a long history of success using dowel bar retrofit, or DBR, to preserve and restore its concrete pavements.
