Call for Entries: 2025 National Paving Awards Now Open

ACPA is accepting entries for the 2025 National Paving Awards, recognizing concrete pavement projects completed in 2024. The Annual Awards for Excellence in Concrete Pavement celebrate outstanding workmanship, promote best practices, and highlight successful concrete pavement projects across the United States. The program honors contractors, engineers, and project owners whose work exemplifies excellence in design and construction. Award recipients gain national recognition and enhanced credibility that can support future project opportunities.

Submissions will be accepted through ACPA’s newly launched online platform, designed to offer a more streamlined and user-friendly experience for submitting projects.

Submission Deadline: Friday, July 18, 2025

2025 Distinguished Service Awards: Nominations Now Open!

ACPA is accepting nominations for the 2025 ACPA Distinguished Service Awards, which will be presented during the 62nd ACPA Annual Meeting. Submissions are due Friday, August 29.

Awards include:

Marlin J. Knutson Award for Technical Achievement – Presented annually since 1998, this award recognizes an individual or group who has made significant contributions to advance the development and implementation of technical innovations and best practices in the design and construction of concrete pavements.

Outstanding Pavement Promotion Award – Awarded since 1998, this recognition is presented to an individual or group who has made significant contributions through promotional efforts or programs to advance the awareness, specification, and/or placement of concrete pavements.

Lifetime Pavement Recognition Award (Airport) – Awarded annually since 1994, this recognition is presented to the agency owner of an in-service concrete pavement that has demonstrated exceptional performance and service to its local community, state, and users.

Sustainable Practices Recognition Award – First presented in 2010, this award highlights an organization or team (owner and contractor) who demonstrate leadership by implementing design and construction practices that consider societal, environmental, and economic factors.

Hartman-Hirschman-Egan Award – Awarded annually since 1968, the recognition is presented to individuals or organizations for unparalleled, long-term commitment, dedication, participation, and leadership in the concrete pavement community.

Amrize Debuts as Independent Spin-Off from Holcim

On June 23, Amrize announced a successful transition to an independent spin-off entity from Holcim. Amrize is “building North America, as the partner of choice for professional builders with advanced branded solutions from foundation to rooftop,” according to their press release.
