We Need You! ACPA Launches New Committee Structure – Get Involved Today 

At the 2026 Mid-Year Meeting, ACPA took the first steps in modernizing our committee structure that will encourage meaningful participation and strengthen member engagement. Now we just need you to get involved and sign up!

Our committees are where ideas turn into action—and we need your voice at the table. Volunteering is one of the most meaningful ways to shape the future of our association, build your network, and develop new skills along the way. By joining a committee, you’ll collaborate with peers, share your expertise, and contribute to work that truly matters.

Standing Committees now include:

  • Technical Services Committee: This committee services as the heartbeat of ACPA’s technical offerings and is staffed by Harold Honey. Subcommittees include:
  • Advocacy Committee: This committee guides ACPA’s government affairs efforts and is staffed by Laura O’Neill Kaumo with support from Vickie Spielman.
  • Marketing, Education, and Promotion Committee – This committee guides ACPA’s messaging and promotion efforts and is staffed by Vickie Spielman.

Thank You for Making Concrete Pavement Week a Success! 

Thank you to everyone who supported and participated in the inaugural Concrete Pavement Week, in particular our industry partners the American Cement Association and the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association.

Your engagement helped shine a spotlight on the essential role concrete pavements play in building strong, safe, durable, and sustainable transportation infrastructure across our communities.  Throughout the week, we celebrated the people, innovation, and dedication behind the concrete pavement industry—from contractors, engineers, and suppliers to public agencies, researchers, and industry partners. Together, we recognized the lasting value of concrete pavements and their contribution to reliable transportation networks that serve communities for generations.

As a direct result of the advocacy and promotion undertaken by ACPA’s network of chapters and state associations, two Governors recognized the inaugural Concrete Pavement Week through formal proclamations. Congratulations to the ACPA – Pennsylvania Chapter and the Kentucky Concrete Association on this outstanding achievement. You’ve laid the foundation on which Concrete Pavement will continue to build in years to come.

We appreciate everyone who helped raise awareness, shared information, and joined the conversation. Your support helped make the first Concrete Pavement Week a meaningful celebration of the infrastructure and workforce that keep America moving.

Call for Entries: 2026 National Paving Awards Now Open

ACPA is accepting entries for the 2026 National Paving Awards, recognizing concrete pavement projects completed in 2025. The Annual Awards for Excellence in Concrete Pavement celebrate outstanding workmanship, promote best practices, and highlight successful concrete pavement projects across the United States. The program honors contractors, engineers, and project owners whose work exemplifies excellence in design and construction. Award recipients gain national recognition and enhanced credibility that can support future project opportunities.

Submissions will be accepted through ACPA’s newly launched online platform, designed to offer a more streamlined and user-friendly experience for submitting projects.

Members who submitted award-winning projects to their local chapter or state association, using ACPA’s website, have already had those entries automatically advanced to the national program. If you submitted locally, watch for an upcoming message with instructions on how to access and update your submission ahead of the national deadline.

Submission Deadline: Friday, July 24, 2026

Donate a package for the ACPA Foundation Silent Auction

The ACPA Foundation’s annual fundraiser is back. The Silent Auction returns to December’s ACPA Annual Meeting for its third year, building on last year’s incredible success of more than $24,000 raised to support innovative research and strategic partnerships across the concrete pavement industry.

We need your help to make this year even better. We are seeking package donations, and organizations that contribute will receive exclusive promotional recognition leading up to the event and in person at the Annual Meeting.

Looking for inspiration? Here are the categories we welcome:

  • Memorable experiences: sporting event tickets, theater or concert tickets and luxury weekend getaways – (happening in 2027)
  • Exclusive opportunities: private dining experiences, golf outings at prestigious courses and behind-the-scenes tours
  • Unique memorabilia: signed jerseys or helmets, collectibles and custom artwork
