Get Involved: Help Shape the Future of ACPA
At the 2026 Mid-Year Meeting, ACPA took the first steps toward modernizing its committee structure to encourage meaningful participation, strengthen member engagement, and create more opportunities for members to contribute their expertise. Now, we need you to get involved.
Our committees are where ideas become action.
By joining a committee, you’ll collaborate with industry peers, share your knowledge, and help advance initiatives that make a real impact on our profession while expanding your professional network and influencing the future of our association.
Technical Services Committee
The Technical Services Committee serves as the backbone of ACPA’s technical programs and resources and is staffed by Harold Honey. There are 2-3 spots remaining on this key committee.
We are also actively seeking between 10-14 subcommittee members with all levels of experience to support this important work. Opportunities are available in the following subcommittees:
- Quality Control – staffed by Sarah Dalton
- Design – staffed by Eric Ferrebee
- Research – staffed by Larry Scofield
While the Advocacy Committee and the Marketing, Education, and Promotion Committee are currently full, please email Vickie Spielman to be added to the waitlist should spots open up.
If you’re interested in serving on any of these committees, please reach out to the appropriate staff member listed above. This is your opportunity to connect with colleagues, contribute to meaningful projects, and grow both personally and professionally. Please also share this opportunity with your colleagues and peers. We especially encourage participation in the Technical Services Committee and its subcommittees, where we are still seeking volunteers.

DEADLINE EXTENDED for National Paving Awards
The deadline for the 2026 National Paving Awards, recognizing concrete pavement projects completed in 2025, has been extended to Friday, July 31.
The Annual Awards for Excellence in Concrete Pavement celebrate outstanding workmanship, promote best practices, and highlight successful concrete pavement projects across the United States. The program honors contractors, engineers, and project owners whose work exemplifies excellence in design and construction. Award recipients gain national recognition and enhanced credibility that can support future project opportunities.
Submissions will be accepted through ACPA’s newly launched online platform, designed to offer a more streamlined and user-friendly experience for submitting projects.
Members who submitted award-winning projects to their local chapter or state association, using ACPA’s website, have already had those entries automatically advanced to the national program. If you submitted locally, watch for an upcoming message with instructions on how to access and update your submission ahead of the national deadline.
