ACPA is excited to bring the annual Airport Workshop to Arizona, October 27-29, 2026. This three-day workshop offers discussions and presentations on best practices in the design, construction, and rehabilitation of concrete pavements used for airport applications.

ACPA Advocates for Rehab and Balance at the CCPC

Last week, the Southwest Concrete Pavement Association hosted the 2nd Annual California Concrete Pavement Conference with Caltrans, FHWA, the University of California Pavement Research Center (UCPRC), and the California Nevada Cement Association. The conference brought together around 200 professionals from Caltrans, cities and other agencies, consultants, and industry. The major themes focused on best practices for generating mix designs with new materials, implementing quality control to ensure the paving operation can make the mix into a successful pavement, and award-winning projects that showed success in all of these aspects. The second day featured an open house with FHWA’s Mobile Concrete Technology Center, the UCPRC Lab2Slab program, and new technologies.

ACPA’s Senior Director of Technical Services, Eric Ferrebee, helped kick off the opening session on the morning of day one. Ferrebee’s presentation focused on the value of utilizing rehabilitation to build life back into the pavement network. Ferrebee pushed for a mix of fixes (including maintenance, preservation, rehabilitation, and reconstruction), to help balance the pavement network and help promote competition while extending the value of every agency’s infrastructure investment.
