A law passed in Bolivia on July 24th mandating the use of concrete pavements.  “A similar story happened in Paraguay, and for a while in Ecuador,” says Dr. Ing. Erwin Kohler of 3ipe. an international airport and road pavement engineering firm located in Las Condes. Santiago (Chile). 

The law provides for the use of portland and/or pozzolanic cement for the implementation of road infrastructure that are part of the Nation’s Primary Road Network. 

Dr. Kohler, a member of the ISCP Board of Directors, provided a translation of the law, noting he does not favor laws mandating pavement type, but offered the document for information purposes.  Click here to see the translated version.
