Lagan US Aviation & Infrastructure, an ACPA member, is calling for support to find a cure for paralysis. 

Donald K. Bloodworth, P.E., Regional Director, US Operations, recalls how he was introduced to motivational speaker Mark Pollock, an athlete and adventurist who is blind and paralyzed from the chest down.  “I found myself moved by his story, the resiliency he has displayed throughout his journey and now his personal mission to find a cure for paralysis in his lifetime and walk again,” he writes.

He is calling attention to annual 5K/10K run called Run In the Dark, held annually in mid-November. On Wednesday, November 13 , more than 25,000 people from 50 cities worldwide will participate in the event. 

In the DC-metropolitan area, Bloodworth and his colleagues at Lagan US, are serving as host and lead sponsor for the run to begin at 8 p.m. at the National Harbor, located just across the Potomac River. Proceeds from this and other Run In the Dark events benefit the Mark Pollock Trust to find a cure for paralysis.
