Jerry Voigt participated in the 2018 Concrete and Masonry Related Associations (CAMRA) meeting in Chicago on May 30 and 31. 

CAMRA meets annually to share association best practices, to identify threats and opportunities facing the concrete industry, and to develop ways for cooperative efforts. 

CAMRA members include the CEOS of non-profit concrete and masonry related trade associations, professional associations and foundations.   Many success were reported by the association leaders, including expanded membership numbers and work volume (particularly for associations whose members primarily work in the private sector). Among the leading issues facing all of the associations include promotional resourcing, member engagement and work force development. 

During the meeting, Voigt reported on successes with PavementDesigner.org, the ACPA Legislative Issues Committee and individual advocacy interest memberships, as well as ACPA’s successful messaging of healthy competition between industries.
