The FHWA yesterday held a Targeted Overlay Pavement Solutions (TOPS) meeting to discuss state highway agencies’ current interest in the various concrete overlay technologies recognized by the agency’s Every Day Counts program.

Currently only 13 states (CA, DC, FL, HI, LA, MI, MT, NC, NV, NY, OK, OH, PA), as well as Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands have expressed an interest in concrete overlays through the EDC6 TOPS program.

ACPA is asking affiliated chapters to urge state agency partners that have not yet committed to participate in this program to do so.

The Every Day Counts-6 initiative is a state-based model used to identify and deploy under-utilized innovations, saving time, money and resources that can be used to deliver more projects.
