Infrastructure issues have dominated headlines over the past year, but in spite of strong voter support for action, these issues have remained largely absent from the Presidential debates thus far, says ASCE.

As such ASCE, along with other associations and labor groups* announced a 2020 Presidential Candidate Forum focused solely on infrastructure, to be held at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, during President’s Day Weekend 2020.

ASCE says the forum will be an opportunity for candidates to address the challenges facing American roads and transit systems, bridges and railroads, ports and airports and water and wastewater systems, as well as present their vision for an infrastructure plan that supports a strong economy, job creation, consumer safety and national security.

* In addition to ASCE, the forum will be co-hosted by the International Union of Operating Engineers, Transportation Workers Union, American Public Transportation Association, Value of Water Campaign, American Road and Transportation Builders Association and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers.
