ACPA and FHWA Discuss Life-Cycle Cost Analysis
ACPA’s 2nd Vice Chairman Jim Mack (CEMEX) and Leif Wathne met with FHWA officials last week to discuss Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA).
Representing FHWA were LaToya Johnson, FHWA Team Leader–Pavement Design and Performance; Gina Ahlstrom, Team Leader–Pavement Materials; and Heather Dylla–Sustainability Program Manager.
FHWA is working on updating their LCCA guidance and expects to request stakeholder input, which will be announced in the Federal Register. ACPA and the concrete pavement industry will continue to stay actively engaged with FHWA as a reliable and credible resource for industry perspectives on LCCA. We anticipate knowing more about FHWA’s timeline for publishing their guidance later this spring, Wathne says.
