The Marketing and Communications Committee held a virtual meeting last week to discuss and gain insights into several program initiatives. Sarah Bazey (Chair) and Ernie Peterson (Co-Chair) led the meeting.

Marketing topics included the new ACPA website as well as new education collateral, including project profiles and case studies. The group also reviewed recent examples of social media campaigns and posts. Additional video projects will be reviewed for possible incorporation into our ongoing strategy.

Communication topics included approval of new editorial guidelines for ACPA’s CONCRETE PAVEMENT PROGRESS magazine. The committee approved revised guidelines to accept:

  • Articles or story leads from non-member contractor if the contribution is from an ACPA member in these categories: cement, equipment, and materials.
  • Articles or story leads from non-member contractor if the contribution is from one or more non-member contractors that are identified by national or chapter staff members as viable and active prospective members.

The group also approved a proposal to establish a task force to serve as an Editorial Advisory Panel.
