ACPA and 63 other associations and organizations have joined with the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) to ask Congress to oppose the proposed increases in minimum liability coverage for motor carriers. This is important to ACPA members who operate a variety of trucks, including dump trucks, cement tankers, agitors, etc.

The organizations wrote to members of Congress in two groups, the Blue Dogs and Problem Solvers caucuses, to ask them to oppose increases in the existing minimum liability coverage for motor carriers. OOIDA has addressed the issue before and ACPA and other groups anticipate the issue will come up again as Congress works on surface transportation legislation.
