Technical Expertise on Display at the National Concrete Consortium
Convened annually by the CP Tech Center, the 2022 meetings of the National Concrete Consortium (NC2) brought together the top minds on concrete pavement in Nashville, Tennessee. With more than 200 in-person and 57 virtual attendees, NC2 was a hub of discussion and research on pressing industry issues such as PEMs, sustainability initiatives, pozzolanic materials, and design software. ACPA attended in force with President & CEO Laura O’Neill Kamo, Executive Vice President Leif Wathne, P.E., Director of Technical Services Eric Ferrebee, P.E., pavement innovation expert Larry Scofield, P.E., and ACPA special consultant Mark Snyder, Ph.D. P.E., showing up to support and learn from the many friends and colleagues who drive the leading edge of concrete pavement forward.
Presenters included ACPA members and partners such as Gordon Smith, P.E., of the CP Tech Center, Gina Ahlstrom of FHWA, Randy Kirchain, Ph.D., of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mark Snyder, Ph.D. P.E., of ACPA, Dave Diedrick of Holcim, Tom Van Dam, Ph.D. P.E., of NCE, Tyler Ley, Ph.D. P.E., of Oklahoma State University, Jerod Gross, P.E., of Snyder & Associates, David White, Ph.D. P.E., of Ingios Geotechnics, and Jason Weiss, Ph.D., of Oregon State University.
