It’s hard to believe October is almost over, and ACPA is only six weeks away from its Annual Meeting in Huntington Beach, CA. Our program this year looks strong with lots of informative sessions, a first-rate awards banquet, and the special edition of a Chairman’s champagne toast to celebrate the outgoing President and CEO Jerry Voigt, who retired after three decades of service. Cheers to Jerry!

Recapturing a small sense of normalcy, last week’s 3rd Quarter Board Meeting was held in our Rosemont Office, with many of our board members participating in person. The Board laid the groundwork for an FY22 budget that will help foster growth and strategically position the Association to better serve its members, support its state chapter/partner affiliates, and promote concrete paving. Final approval for the budget will be on the agenda at our December 2nd Q4 Board Meeting.

Aside from the board meeting, the Colorado/Wyoming Chapter was out with WYDOT officials for training on constructing and maintaining durable concrete pavement, and Leif Wathne, ACPA Executive Vice President, was interfacing with FHWA leadership as part of the Concrete Pavement and Materials Technical Feedback Group. Check that article out below, along with an update on the status of the infrastructure package.
