It is with deep sympathy and sadness that we share the passing of Clinton “Clint” Solberg, an engineer for both ACPA and the Wisconsin Concrete Pavement Association (WCPA), on January 26^th, 2022. A long-time public servant, Clint began his career with the California Department of Transportation in San Bernardino after graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1962. Moving back to Wisconsin with his wife, Carol, Clint worked for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for 26 years before joining ACPA in Illinois in 1988. Returning to his home state in 1998, he joined WCPA where he eventually concluded his illustrious career in 2007. Remembered as a “good soul” and a “lover of life,” he brought energy and creativity to his projects and relationships. Clint made anyone he was talking to feel like they were the most special person in the world. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, their three children, and six grandchildren.
