In his piece, Scott discussed the future of paving and shared his thoughts on the innovations pushing our industry towards sustainability. From on-site material recycling to reducing the carbon intensity of concrete with products like Portland-limestone cement, Scott shared how our industry is taking the steps necessary to reach a goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. Scott also discussed the benefits of longer-life pavement solutions that reduce the frequency of road repairs, leading to lower congestion, enhanced sustainability and more satisfied road users.
