ACPA Focuses on Outreach and Training at World of Concrete
ACPA’s annual participation in the World of Concrete earlier this month focused on education and outreach, with PavementDesigner.org taking center stage. ACPA’s Jerry Voigt and Bill Davenport presented a market overview and also discussed other initiatives (including PavementDesigner.org) at a well-attended press conference.
Voigt also presented an industry training course on “Constructing Smooth Concrete Pavements,” a three-hour course that extended well past its allotted time because of an extensive question & answer exchange. Eric Ferrebee presented also presented an industry training course, “Using New Online Thickness Design Software,” which generated good discussions and questions.
The event also gave ACPA the staff to visit with hundreds of booth visitors and members. Visitors were treated to a PavementDesigner.org phone “kickstand,” as well as a wide range of technical literature and other support materials.
