Under Gary Mitchell’s leadership, the ACPA’s Airport Task Force provided a review and input on the FAA’s new Advisory Circular (AC) 150/5320-6G – Airport Pavement Design and Evaluation. This circular is expected to be a significant improvement to the older FAA design circular. While it is not expected to have much of an impact on pavement thickness directly, we anticipate some improvement in the design details and the software will include user-friendly improvements.
