ACPA participated in the first meeting of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ task force on priorities and roles of  its Highway  Pavement Committees.  The meeting focused on the role of the ASCE pavement committees and the most efficient ways they can contribute to the pavement community.

The task force is expected to develop a report summarizing all findings and recommendations, including guidance for the current and future leadership of the committee.  Leif Wathne participated in the meeting and said ACPA’s engagement in this effort is primarily to ensure that ASCE’s concrete pavement guidance is as consistent as possible with that of the concrete pavement industry.
